Air Options Vibration Isolation Mounts are specifically designed
for reciprocating compressors and vacuum pumps in the 2 through 30 horsepower range. These mounts provide a superior mounting alternative to either
direct bolting or the inadequate pads that are offered as options by some compressor manufacturers.
Most compressors and vacuum pumps in the 2 through 50 horsepower range are packaged units with an integral receiver ranging from 20 to 250 gallons.
These units should not be bolted directly to the floor because the vibration that is produced by the pump, while in operation, may promote cracking around
the welded joints on the receiver. Most compressor manufacturers stipulate that bolting the compressor or vacuum pump directly to the floor will void the
tank warranty.
Air Options Vibration Isolation Mounts use a composite isolation damper to control low frequency vibrations which, in turn, is backed with a UV inhibited
HDPE deck to control high frequency vibrations. The compressor is bolted to the decks with ordinary plated carriage bolts, nuts and flat washers. This
produces an equipment base which will effectively dampen and isolate the vibrations that a typical compressor will produce. The deck and isolation damper
are held in position with an all-welded steel frame that is bolted directly to the floor or foundation.
